Siva Prasad Marar is one of the foremost artists of Assam today. A versatile craftsman, he is equally adept in multiple media, and his work bears the signature of the land he comes from and the culture he holds dear, evoking forms of existence in strikingly new ways. His recent awards include the “Deoram Tasa Memorial Award” (2017) and the “North East Gold Award in Sculpture” (2017). He has exhibited his work across the country on multiple occasions in the last several decades.
