Closing the Eyes

You must see your
own fall. The panther wants to
kill himself. Elephants change the path.

I don't want to believe
in anything. God believes in me.
The roses do not want to go to the mausoleum.

What I will do, sitting
in the dark, carrying tears in my
pocket. I want to stop birthing.
The anguish of a poet at the way the world is, is well expressed in these lines.
