Poetry
The Friend

A friend is not one
Who greets you "Hello",
Shakes hands with you,
Mumbles a few words
And brushes you off
To oblivion

The friend is the reflection
Of your own self,
The beat and throb
Of your heart,
An alter-ego
Who, partaking
In  all your emotions,
Embraces your whole being,
Laughing with you
In your moments
Of good times

He takes you to greater
Heights of happiness,
Crying with you
In your moments
Of bad times,
He lifts you from the swamp
Of  adversities
And  paddles the canoe
Of your marooned life
To the shore of safety
And comforts

He is always there
With you to bring
Smiles to you,
To wipe away tears
From your eyes,
Showing the beauty
And the power
Of true friendship.
I loved the line 'he is the reflection of you', Sir! How beautifully you depicted who the friend is and I echo with you to say that a friend will definitely have some of our qualities.

Rao Sir,
A poetry that keeps warmth at heart and it's soul being the feelings about the true human who extends one's ability that makes him special.
Best way to express how a friend truly is.
Kudos to you Sir
