SOME PARTS OF YOU

You need to know,
I am still in love with you.
At least some parts of you.
I wonder if you look at those old
pictures and hear our laughter.
When people saw us from
the corner of their eyes,
How young love is the
Most dangerous of them all.
What was it about you?
That I refused to grow up.
I wonder if you remember,
how I said I like colours
and how I haven't found my shade yet.
You held my hand and asked me
to choose any, from the evening sky.
I think we kissed that day,
and I whispered how I chose you.
I loved you, I still do.
At least some parts of you.
I wonder if you remember,
how I pined for you,
but you couldn't meet me,
I said let's run away,
but you wouldn't.
I think I waited all day,
but you said you loved me
and It was the truth.
I wonder if you remember,
How nothing mattered but you,
but you said the world,
doesn't understand this love
and I wondered whether
We should Care, but you did
And I didn't.
I think I cried that day.
I have loved you more than I could,
not just some parts of you.
And here we are now.
Every time you smile,
Those perfect dimples,
Remind me of how my lips
Found a home in yours.
I love you, I'll always.
At least some parts
of you.

ALL BECAUSE

All because,
I couldn't love you back.

All our talks,
The handprints we left at
our cranky neighbour’s wall,
All those burnt birthday cakes,
that we ate regardless.
You're willing to let me go,
all because,
I couldn't love you back.

You'd steal the paper,
and return it with solved sudokus,
I'd steal your hoodies,
because they felt warmer.
That nail paint that annoyed you,
that ear piercing that
you hid for a week.
You're willing to forget everything,
All because,
I couldn't love you back.

I wrote you poems,
ou drew caricatures that
I wouldn't accept, looked like me.
Those 600 pictures in your,
autumn garden for that one
Perfect picture to cherish forever.
You're willing to erase every bit of me.
All because,
I couldn't love you back.

What kind of love,
Is this love?
Was everything, all those days,
Merely because you wished for
Me to be yours?
What kind of love,
Is this love?
Where you'd rather un-love me,

Just because,
I couldn't love you back.
