Muse India's Editor for Fiction (wef May-Jun 2017 issue)
Smitha Sehgal edits fiction for Muse India during her personal space to keep alive her passion and love for literature. She is a legal professional and writer. Her literary career took off at the age of twelve with a short fiction published by Mathrubhumi, a leading vernacular publication in Malayalam, followed by articles with The New Indian Express. After a long break devoted to law, she has resumed writing poetry and fiction which have been featured with Kritya, Reading Hour, Brown Critique, Muse India, and The Wagon Magazine. Her poems have been featured in Dance of the Peacock – an anthology of English Poetry from India; Suvarnarekha – an anthology of Women Poets of India; and 40 Under 40 – an Anthology of Post-Globalisation Poetry. Her fiction won the Reading Hour Short Story Prize, 2015 in the Lekhana Literary Weekend held at Bengaluru.
