KALPANA*

I would love
Staying nonchalant
Let time speak
With profound claims
It won’t be possible...
The paper boat is not afloat
On the Amazon

Words unspoken
Not even
in the quicksand of Sahara
Rather heaped up
in life’s drudgery.

Therein... life’s pros and cons
Dormant
Doleful

Some otherworld
...on the verge of creation

*The word ‘Kalpana’, used by the poet in Bengali, actually means fancy, fantasy, or imagination (irrespective of choice and use).

RELATIVE RELATION

Slumber
Awakening
Morning tea
Molestation updated
Ashwin* strikes the floor
The first streak of daylight
relation...
dried—lifeless—moist

awakening
futile
...life

*Ashwin is in Bengali a month, numerically placed at 6th in the yearly Calendar.
