03 May 2017: Announcement: Haiku Workshop by Kala Ramesh in Delhi

A 2-day haiku workshop – The Long and Short of Haiku – will be held in Delhi on June 24 & 25, 2017, by Kala Ramesh, an internationally acclaimed haijin and also the Contributing Editor (Haiku and Short Verse) for Muse India.

In a total duration of 7 hours, the participants will be exposed to the 400-year-old art form from Japan, namely: haiku, senryu and haibun [tight prose embedded with haiku]. Rejoice in the art of discovering, appreciating, writing and imbibing haiku, the shortest poem in the world, in your lifestyle.

Fee: Rs. 3000/- (includes one round of tea/coffee)
Age Group: 14 Years to Senior Citizens

The Workshop will be followed by an hour and more of Haiku reading session titled – Words In and Out of Raga.

Through the cultural aesthetics of Japan and India, through poems and zen stories, Kala along with the beatific strains of bansuri will unfold dreaming spaces filled with imagery that captures moments that you know but never gave it words, says Geetashree Chatterjee, spokesperson and also member of Muse India.
