01 Apr 2017: Book Launch – “The Eternal Elixir“

On Saturday, the 25th February, at Kaiwara Srikshetra, as a part of the ongoing celebrations of Millennium birth anniversary Year of Sri Ramanujacharya, in a glittering literary event organized by Sri Yogi Nareyana Mutt, the book entitled “The Eternal Elixir” a publication of the Mutt, was released by Ex Chief Justice and Former Governor of Bihar and Jharkhand, Dr. M. Rama Jois.

'The Eternal Elixir', is a book containing English translations of Sadguru Yogi Nareyana's kirtanas  The translation was undertaken by Bangalore based bi-lingual author and poet, Smt. Ambika Ananth, and Sri. Vinay Varanasi, a young architect and a writer. Dr. Rama Jois appreciated the effort of the translators and emphasized on the importance of such works.

The function was ably presided by the Dharmadhikari of the Mutt, Dr. M.R. Jayaram, who spoke about the philosophies of Sri Yogi Nareyana and about the kirtanas, how they were are all penned down based on the Yogi Nareyana’s personal experiences and how he took Sri Amaranareyana as the Godhead and how the kirthanas address the common man, and break free from the shackles of the elitist. Dr. Jayaram congratulated the translators on their fruitful effort sustained over two years. The translators "have been successful in bringing the spirit and essence of Sri. Yogi Nareyana" he said.

Dr. Babu Krishnamurthy, Editor of the Kannada magazine 'Mallara' spoke on the salient features of the book.

Prof. N.K. Ramaseshan of Mysore gave a captivating spiritual discourse, laying emphasis on the tenet of the human body being a temple of the divine and how everybody must practice self-control.

All the dignitaries were presented with the mementos of Sri Yogi Nareyana   and duly felicitated.
