Nov 28: Daylong Kashmiri lit fete @ Bijbehara on Nov 26

Maraz Adbi Sangam, an organisation of basic units of four districts of South Kashmir, organised its annual conference in historical town Bijbehara Anantnag. Prominent writers of Kashmiri language of the J &K state amongst the huge audience include Prof Margoob (ex HoD, KU), Prof G M Shad,  Prof B A Nahvi (Director, Iqbal Institute, KU), Dr Aziz Hajini (Secretary, Cultural Academy), Dr Nazir Azad,  Dr B A Very (MLC ), G N Atish, M A Bhat (General Secretary, AMK), Dr Masoodi (Ex Director, DD-K), Shahid Delnavi, Bashir Dada, Yasir Bhawani (Director EKTA), and Shahnaz Rashid (RAAM).
The guests were welcome by Aijaz, president MAS, and the annual report was read out by General Secretary Izhar Mubashir.

Ali Shaida presented the keynote address followed by the theme paper on Kashmiri language by scholar Nisar Nadeem, both receiving a full deliberation by critics.

Besides the annual award segment, five books in Kashmiri language were released.

Prof Margob was conferred with Sharf e Maraz, while Prof Nahvi received Sham sul Maraz award. Other awardees were G N Atish, Qamar Hamidullah and Hamida ji Akhter.

A Mushaira was also conducted before the event was concluded. Reyaz Anzno was the coordinator of the daylong event.
