Aiman Peer

HOW CAN I BE?

I am not a sufi nor a staunch lover.
How can I be?
I am a sinner at heart and an atheist at soul.
But I yearn for your love to caress me in its bosom
And purify me inside out.
I want to whirl around the eternal flame of your love
With a heart full of love and longing.
Laying my life on the stone of your doorstep,
I wish not for the joys of this world,
But I long for the ache of your love for this
World has saturated my soul with blackness now.
I am at your doorstep like a desperate and thirsty beggar.
Come forth and bless me
O Supreme and Eternal Lover.
